About MPP

MPP History & Philosophy

MPP is the oldest continuously operating preschool in Milpitas, founded in 1968. Like all parent participation schools, it is founded on the principle that the best education will result from an active partnership among parents, teachers. and children. MPP creates a family and child-centered developmental learning environment where young children cam build the emotional, social, and intellectual skills that are the foundation for lifelong learning.

MPP was the first childcare center in Milpitas to be accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC).

Teacher Jeanette

I am the Co-Director of the school and have been teaching the 2’s and 3’s class for thirteen years. When my children were born, I realized how important the first years of a child’s life are. This is when I entered the studies of Early Childhood Education. I believe in providing a nurturing, hands-on environment in order for children to grow and develop their fine gross motor, social/ emotional, creative, cognitive and language skills. I also believe that Early Childhood Education can make a difference and that parents are a significant part of their child’s life.
